Each polish should last approximately 2 to 3 months heavy traffic areas may need a repeat application sooner.
  • The Long Life Self Shining Floor Polish has started to build up how do I remove it?
All polishes tend to build up after repeated use. If this happens use a solution of 250ml Cloudy ammonia in 4-5 litres of water. The more the build up has accumulated the harder it is to remove, an increased concentration of Cloudy Ammonia solution can be used to remove old polish. Always ensure there is adequate ventilation when removing the polish with Cloudy Ammonia.
  • You can see the marks where I applied the polish in the zig zag line how do I get rid of them?
The lines have appeared due to the product drying before being thoroughly spread out. This could be as it is left too long before being spread or if the room temperature was warm when the polish was applied thus drying it out quicker than normal. Simply go over these areas again with polish as the second coat should emulsify into the first and eliminate such
marks. Avoid using polish on very hot days as polish may dry before being spread properly.
  • I have used Long Life Shelf Shining Floor Polish and now my floor looks all streaky why has this happened
    and what can I do?

There are a number of things that can cause the polish to be streaky
The floor has not been cleaned before hand with Cloudy Ammonia-old polishes not removed may have reacted with the Self Shine or dirt and grime has mixed in with polish.
The Mop or cloth used was not clean. If a mop has previously been used with other products or is dirty.can contaminate the Long Life Self Shining Floor Polish and affect its performance on your floors.
Water was added to the Long Life Self Shining Floor Polish- this product is supposed to be used neat. If yoour cloth or mop is over wet water will mix with the product causing a streaky effect. If you Didn’t wait long enough for the Self Shine to dry before applying second or third coat.
If any of these have occurred the product needs to be removed with a solution of 250ml Cloudy ammonia in 4-5 litres of water. Then the product needs to be applied again eliminating any factors that could have contributed to causing the streakiness.
